01 — People, held still
Portraits
Sittings built on conversation. The frame waits until the person forgets it is there.
A portrait session is mostly talking. The camera is the last thing to happen — by then the shoulders have dropped, the jaw has softened, and what is left is the person rather than the pose.
Sessions run in the studio against black, or on location where the light already belongs to you: a kitchen window, a stand of autumn birch, the stage lamp above a guitar.
